EQUIVAR.
Staff Legend

Equivar was the home to many equines for thousands of years. That was, until the famine. A long and everlasting draught swept through the lands, killing off family after family of equines. For years no equines dared to step into the lands, for they say that they are haunted. The ghosts of the equines that once lived here haunt the lands that they used to reside in. Though it was all a myth, the newcomers of the land soon found that out not long after arriving. The newly born florage now swept over the lands, the bright green grass and leaves. The air contains the perfume of flowers during the warm weather seasons. Though the dark lands still have the left over of the draught. No rain falls there, and no food grows. So if the equines reside in those lands they must either feast off of living creatures or go into the roaming lands for food. Now the equines are filling in and taking over the lands of Equivar. Which side will you choose; light, neutral, or dark?
Weather Info
Season: autumn:
The very first of the cold weather seasons has fallen into Equivar. The temperatures fall from between 55ºF to 43ºF. The leaves have turned into great colors of yellow, orange, red, and brown. The winds are quite chilly and barely any rain falls near the plains and deserts. Though in the springs and meadows there is rainfall almost every day. In the mountains there is snowfall near the peeks and rainfalls near the cliffs and the bottoms of mountains. Enjoy your nice autumn Equivar!

Watch our teaser trailer!

(Sorry about the ad beside the video, it's part of the Proboards YouTube tags and we can't remove it.)

Have we caught your attention? Watch the full length 3 min version here!

Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?

Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make:

  • Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd.
  • Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel.
  • Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd.
  • Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.

We are also accepting staff applications for Moderators and Graphics Designers.

What's going on... ?

There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?

The board is set, the pieces are in play. Whose side will you join?

F A Y L I H M E S
A fantasy wolf role play

Northern lights dance above the heads of multiple wolves. Colors race across their fur, none of them seem natural. Some of these lupine wear armor of gold or silver with beads tied into their pelt. Faces scarred, ears torn. Were these warriors? Or wolves? In a land where wolves posses strange attributes - the wings of a bird, the horns of a ram - and incredible power, the balance has been broken. Two ancient spirits no longer hold the power to maintain the peace, and so God's were appointed to help. Strange markings cascade across their pelts, thus showing their diversity from the others. But are they so different? Do they hold the power to create the balance once more?

Will they do more harm then good?

----------------------------------------------------

Faylihmes is a fairly new fantasy wolf role play in need of members. Moderator positions are open, though staff Sthingy and Alliete will need to see if you are worthy. There are also multiple God/Goddess tryouts going on. We have a strong plot going on, please find a way to take place in it! Thank you!

Our Plot:

Slaughtation...
That word seems to echo from the unclean muzzles of those horses that slowly crowd around the "altar". Some how tied at the hooves, fifteen horses stand upon that sacred altar. The Seven Deadly Acts... The breaker of those acts... This is what they get. This is what they deserve. Right? No. No questioning the Seven Acts and its punishments. They were designed by the Saters for the pure benefit for the Kingdom... Well, that's what the story goes by. But is the story even right? Did it know the true intentions the Saters had when they'd made up these rules? No, no it didn't. No one did. But sit back, and I'll tell you a tale... A tale of twisted, hopeless pasts, futures, and what is to happen in the present times... Sit back... And give me your soul for the taking....

The beginning of terror. Hail the end to come...

Whinnies, cries of pain... They filled the air as a miracle began to take place. But it was only a miracle for a short time. When the cries finally stopped, a young filly lay on the ground, oozing in slime. He was on pure beauty. Er... If you'd like, it would also be "appropriate" to call him handsome, also... But when his orbs opened, everyone shrieked away. Mom knew it was the end for her... As all the plagues had mentioned, the Hellbringer had finally come. Such was easily told by the eyes... A pure, frosted white. That was the only color in his eyes. Many must think, "Oh. He's just blind!" but no. His vision was sharp, like every other horse. The bringer of Hell had finally come. The mother? Oh, well, she was slaughtered. Slaughtation...
That word was the first word ever echoed out of the filly's muzzle. That escaped from his tonsils as he watched his mother being ripped limb from limb by the wolves. From the start, he was very sweet, kind-natured... Quiet. Plotting. It all changed, though, when he was spoiled, in fear that he would hate those who did not do what he said. Such a mistake... As he grew, he became... Larger. Not by fat, but by muscle. He attracted every female in his herd. When he grew even older, he began to yearn for power. Absolute power. And when he was old enough, he took control of the pack by force. As time dwindled on, he made what he called, a "Kingdom". And he was the "King" of it all. His land was over twenty acres. But he was all too abusive. He was hated. So, one night, they decided that they'd had enough. A death was planned. It took ten horses to finally take him down. Those ten were the Saters. They eliminated the options for a King or Queen and destroyed all hope for a leader more powerful than them. And for years, they went as powerful horses, not quite in charge of everyone, but with just enough power to keep everything in order.
They began festivals. Every other week, every herd from the Kingdom would gather at the Gathering Tree and they would talk over the weather, the food supplies, the water supplies, the danger lurking, if any, reporting any breakings of the Acts. It was a time to socialize with those that you were close to, or a time to get close to others. On the last day, the final, anticipated event took place. The Slaughtation. Everyone would gather around a rocky altar and they would watch... Watch as horses were piled upon the altar. You see, everyone had gotten so used to watching their own kind being slaughtered, they actually found it entertaining. They had sick, twisted minds. The horses piled up on the altar were the breakers of the Acts. They were slaughtered. Their fault, right? Right...? Right...?! No... Maybe... Yes. It had to be. The Acts, though, weren't made up until the last Sater was on his death bed. He had to do his mission. And so, he left the rules, calling them the Seven Deadly Acts, and the punishments for all. It was made clear that no one ignore these, or the price was death. Forever, the plague will roam. Will the Hellbringer come back?

In a time of elaborate gowns, grand balls, betrayal, loyalty and...vampires? Yes, vampires still reside here in the Tudor era. As King Henry the Eighth rules, a family known as the Volettes are the most popular among the court of the king. Their secret as immortals kept for secret for centuries -- that is...until the eldest Volette vampire, Madelina, becomes romantically involved with the king of England. When she becomes involved more deeply with him the church gets further involved... The secret is close to being discovered -- what will happen? Will the King discover the secrets of the Volettes and the vampiress he falls for? Or will the secret be silent as the love triangle of the countess Persephone, the Duchess Madelina and the King threatens the way of court?

Are you of the vampires or the mortals that reside in the court of the king? Which side do you belong to?
